How to Give Foremen Project Access

 

Foreman logins provide field workers with limited, project-specific access to Roof Chief, giving them the information they need while protecting sensitive business data.

Viewing Foreman Users

To see your foreman logins:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Account
  3. Select Users Foremen are designated as field users with the Foreman box checked.
Foreman Access Limitations

Foremen have restricted access designed for field work:

  • Project-specific access - can only see projects they're assigned to
  • Limited contact access - cannot see every contact in your account
  • Time restrictions - can only access jobs three days in the past and three days in the future
  • No historical access - cannot see jobs they worked on months ago unless currently assigned
Assigning Foremen to Projects

To give a foreman access to a project:

  1. Go to the job page
  2. Select the sold estimate
  3. Go to Production
  4. Assign the foreman (like Brian David) for specific dates Once assigned, the foreman can access that project during the specified timeframe.
What Foremen Can See

When logged in, foremen have access to:

  • Contact information for their assigned projects
  • Project address
  • Materials that have been ordered
  • Scope of work (can be extracted from your proposal specifically for foreman viewing)
What Foremen Cannot See

Foremen are restricted from viewing:

  • Sales prices
  • Project costs
  • Unassigned projects
  • Company financial information This system ensures field workers have the project information they need while keeping sensitive business data secure.
