How to Share ‘Scope of Work’ with Crews

 

You can designate proposal text as scope of work, which allows field crews to see exactly what work needs to be done without viewing sales prices or other sensitive information.

Setting Up Scope of Work Text
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Proposals
  3. Select Proposal Texts and Tabs
  4. Find your scope text (like "roofing scope")
  5. Turn on the switch that says "Text describes scope of work" This designates that specific proposal text as work instructions for your crew.
How Scope of Work Appears in Production

Once a proposal is signed:

  1. Go to the job's Production area
  2. View the scope of work section
  3. See the exact text from your proposal that was marked as scope of work The production team can now see their work instructions without accessing the full proposal that contains pricing information.
Creating Work Orders

You can generate formal work orders using your scope of work:

  1. Go to the Work Orders area
  2. Choose a template that includes your logo and letterhead
  3. The scope of work automatically appears in the work order
Distributing Work Instructions

You have multiple options for getting work instructions to your crew:

  • Email the work order to field workers
  • Print physical copies for job sites
  • Access through Roof Chief - foremen can log in and view work orders directly
